Abstract:
Provided is an elastic wave device that, when used for an elastic wave resonator, is capable of narrowing the fractional bandwidth, and when used for a band-pass type filter, is capable of narrowing the bandwidth and increasing steepness. An elastic wave device 1 in which a piezoelectric layer 5 is laminated directly or indirectly on a support substrate 2, an IDT electrode 6 is provided on the piezoelectric layer 5, and an intersection region K has a central region C and first and second edge regions E1, E2, is provided on a second main surface 5b side of the piezoelectric layer 5, overlaps, in plan view, at least a portion of the first and the second edge regions E1, E2, and is provided with first and second conductive layers 4A and 4B so as to overlap at least a portion of first and second bus bars 7b, 8b.
