Abstract:
Provided is an elastic wave device having high heat-dissipation properties and unlikely to have deterioration in electrical characteristics such as resonator characteristics. The elastic wave device comprises: a piezoelectric substrate 2; an IDT electrode 3 laminated upon the piezoelectric substrate 2 and having first and second bus bars and first and second electrode fingers 3c, 3d connected to the first and second bus bars; a bump electrode electrically connected to the IDT electrode 3; a protective film 4 formed so as to cover the IDT electrode 3; and a thermally-conductive material layer 5 having insulating properties and being formed in at least part of an area excluding above an excitation area of the IDT electrode 3 and above the bump electrode.
