Abstract:
Provided is an elastic wave device in which Q characteristic degradation tends not to occur. An elastic wave device 1 comprises a piezoelectric substrate 2 and an IDT electrode 7 provided on the piezoelectric substrate 2. The IDT electrode 7 has a crossover region where first and second electrode fingers overlap in an elastic wave propagation direction. The crossover region has a central region, and first and second low acoustic velocity regions on opposite outer sides of the central region in a direction in which the first and second electrode fingers extend. First and second bus bars 11, 12 have a plurality of openings 11a, 12a. Inner busbar portions 11b, 12b located on one side of the openings 11a, 12a and outer busbar portions 11c, 12c located on an opposite side are connected by a plurality of connecting portions 11d, 12d. At least one of the plurality of connecting portions 11d is a wide connecting portion 11d1, and at least one of the plurality of connecting portions 12d is a wide connecting portion 12d1, the wide connecting portions 11d1, 12d1 having a wider width than the other connecting portions 11d, 12d.
