Abstract:
Provided is an elastic wave device that has a wide fractional bandwidth. An elastic wave device 1 that comprises a high acoustic velocity member 3, a low acoustic velocity layer 4 that is layered on the high acoustic velocity member 3, a piezoelectric layer 5 that is directly or indirectly layered on the low acoustic velocity layer 4, and an electrode 7 that is provided on the piezoelectric layer 5. The low acoustic velocity layer 4 comprises a dielectric material that has a lower Young's modulus than silicon oxide or comprises a layer that includes said dielectric material as a principal component.
