Abstract:
Provided is an elastic wave device that can reduce high-order nonlinear distortion. An elastic wave device 1 comprises: a piezoelectric film 4; a first IDT electrode 5 provided on a first main surface 4a of the piezoelectric film 4; and a second IDT electrode 6 provided on a second main surface 4b of the piezoelectric film 4. The crystalline c-axis of the piezoelectric film 4 is inclined from a direction normal to the first and second main surfaces 4a, 4b. The direction of an electric field generated between a busbar 11a in a first interdigital electrode 11 and the tips of electrode fingers 12b opposed to the busbar 11a in the first IDT electrode 5 is opposite to the direction of an electric field generated between a busbar 13a and the tips of electrode fingers 14b opposed to the busbar 13a in the second IDT electrode 6.
