Abstract:

The present invention reduces the intensity of spurious in the same elastic wave resonator, while maintaining resonance frequency uniformity. An elastic wave resonator (4) is provided with a piezoelectric body (6) and a plurality of electrode fingers (14, 22) positioned on the piezoelectric body and arrayed in an elastic wave propagating direction (TD). The plurality of electrode fingers are positioned in a region which includes, in plan view, a first region (24A) and a second region (24B). The plurality of electrode fingers include a first electrode finger group (14A) positioned in the first region, and a second electrode finger group (14B) positioned in the second region. The first electrode finger group has a pitch (PA) different from a pitch (PB) of the second electrode finger group. The first region and the second region have frequency effect characteristics that act in directions to cancel out the effect, due to the magnitude relationship of the pitch of the respective electrode finger groups, on an increase or decrease in resonance frequency or antiresonance frequency.
