Abstract:
Provided are an elastomer-metal cord composite and a tire using the composite, said composite being capable of improving tire performance and being composed of a metal cord comprising metal filaments bundled without being intertwined, then coated, with an elastomer. The elastomer-metal cord composite 10 is obtained by coating, with an elastomer 3, a metal cord 2 comprising a bundle of two to ten metal filaments 1 arranged in a row without being intertwined, wherein the metal filaments 1 are preformed in the same preforming amount and at the same preforming pitch, and the metal cord 2 has therein at least one pair of metal filaments comprising adjoining metal filaments 1 having different phases from each other.
