Abstract:
The present invention relates to a walking aid apparatus having a forearm rest, the apparatus helping the elderly, who have problems with their legs, to walk safely, and providing the forearm rest so as to widely distribute the weight of the elderly and walking-impaired people, who are users thereof, such that the users can lean on the rest, thereby enabling more convenient use by the elderly, and the apparatus comprises: a lower frame (11) having wheels (11') mounted thereon for movement; a pair of upper frames (12) formed to enable the height thereof to be adjusted, and respectively mounted at the left and right of the lower frame (11); the forearm rest (13) mounted on the upper frames (12) so as to enable the user's weight to be placed thereon; a pair of holding members (20) provided at the upper end portions of the upper frames (12) so as to perform a handle function, and to which the forearm rest (13) is integrally provided; and a brake lever (26) provided to the holding member (20) so as to operate a brake member (28), which is provided at the lower frame (11) so as to prevent the wheels (11') from rotating.
