Abstract:

Provided is an electrically powered vehicle wherein the lock mechanism of a current collection device can be prevented from breaking. This electrically powered vehicle (2) is provided with a current collection device (3) which is mounted on the upper part of the vehicle body and which receives electric power from an overhead line. The current collection device is provided with: a frame assembly (33) configured to include a base frame (12), a lower frame (14) which is connected to the base frame in a rockable manner, and an upper frame (16) which is connected to the lower frame in a rockable manner; a current collection section (6) supported by the upper frame; and a lock mechanism (35) for retaining the frame assembly in a predetermined position. The frame assembly is capable of vertically moving between an erected position in which the current collection section has been lifted, and a folded position in which the current collection section has been lowered. The lock mechanism is provided with an attraction plate (27) which comprises a magnetic body and which is provided to the upper frame, and a hook device (24) which has an electromagnet (24a-1) contained therein and which retains the frame assembly in the folded position by attracting and holding the attraction plate by means of a magnetic force.
