Abstract:
Provided are: an electret having excellent filtration performance even when a polyolefin resin and magnesium element are contained; and a filter using the electret. An electret comprising a polyolefin resin and a nitrogenated compound, the electret being characterized in that the nitrogenated compound is contained in an amount of 0.1 to 5 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the polyolefin resin, the content ratio of magnesium element in the electret is 5 to 100 ppm, and the QF value represented by the formula shown below is 1.00 mmAq-1 or more when it is intended to trap particles each having a particle diameter of 0.3 to 0.5 μm.
