Abstract:
 This electret is formed from an inorganic insulating body (SiO2, etc.) having a porous structure. The charge density in porous SiO2 is higher than the charge density in non-porous SiO2. This is because the charge is strongly trapped at the interface between the porous SiO2 and the numerous voids present in the SiO2. Therefore, the decrease (%) in the density of charge trapped in the porous SiO2 is lower than the decrease (%) in the density of charge trapped in the non-porous SiO2. In addition, because SiO2 is thermally stable, the thermal stability of a porous SiO2 electret is superior to the thermal stability of a polymer electret. The power outputted by a vibratory power generation device in which a porous SiO2 electret is used is greater than the power outputted by a vibratory power generation device in which a non-porous SiO2 electret or a polymer electret is used.
