Abstract:
Provided is an electric automobile that can secure reliability of wheel bearings, a motor, a reduction gear, and the like by performing suitable vehicle driving with respect to abnormalities of the wheel bearings, motor, and reduction gear. The electric automobile is provided with an ECU (21) and an inverter device (22), and a torque fluctuation estimation means (37) is provided to the inverter device (22). By means of a prescribed rule, the torque fluctuation estimation means (37) estimates the amount of torque fluctuation, including torque fluctuation stemming from the wheel bearings (4), motor (6) or reduction gear (7), from: the amount of fluctuation in rotational frequency obtained from an angle sensor (36) of the motor (6) or a rotation sensor (24) that detects wheel rotational frequency; the amount of fluctuation in the load that is detected by a load sensor (41) and that is in the direction of vehicle progress between tires and the road surface; or the amount of fluctuation in the motor current.
