Abstract:
Provided are: an electric bicycle motive force transmission unit that has good assembly workability; and an electric bicycle that comprises the electric bicycle motive force transmission unit. An electric bicycle motive force transmission unit that comprises an input body (30), an output body (31), a torque detection part (62), a detection target part (630), and a detection part (631). The input body (30) has an input shaft (35). The input shaft (35) rotates as a result of force transmitted from the outside. The input body (30) rotates with the input shaft (35). The output body (31) rotates with the input body (30) and thereby outputs rotational force. The torque detection part (62) is positioned at the outer circumference of the input body (30). The detection target part (630) rotates with or in conjunction with the input body (30). The detection part (631) detects the rotational state of the detection target part (630). As seen from a direction that is orthogonal to the rotational axis of the input body (30), at least a portion of the torque detection part (62) overlaps at least a portion of the detection target part (630).
