Abstract:
Provided are: an electric blower configured so that a bearing can have an extended lifetime; and an electric vacuum cleaner provided with the electric blower. An electric blower (11) is provided with a centrifugal fan (14), an electric motor (13) which rotates the centrifugal fan (14), a diffuser (15), and a fan cover (16). The electric motor (13) is provided with a stator (22), a rotor (21), and bearings (29, 30). The stator (22) constitutes a stationary magnetic pole. The rotor (21) has a shaft (26) and a circular cylindrical magnet section (27) which is formed from a sintered magnet. The shaft (26) is connected to the centrifugal fan (14). The magnet section (27) is provided to be coaxial with the shaft (26), is positioned inside the stator (22), and constitutes a plurality of rotating magnetic poles. The bearings (29, 30) have outer diameters (DB1, DB2) greater than the outer diameter (DM) of the magnet section (27) and rotatably hold the opposite ends of the shaft (26) of the rotor (21).
