Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to reduce electric power consumption while suppressing braking-force fluctuation of an electric brake device to within a permitted range. In a control device (3) for performing feedback control using the braking force of a linear-motion mechanism (2) as a control quantity, an operation quantity (the voltage applied to an electric motor (1)) for cancelling braking-force fluctuation is calculated by a calculation unit (4), the frequency of the calculated operation quantity is subsequently detected by a frequency detector (5), and, when the detected frequency is higher than a prescribed frequency threshold value, i.e. when the detected frequency is in a high frequency range in which a braking-force-fluctuation permitted value increases, the operation quantity is restricted in accordance with prescribed parameters by an operation-quantity restriction unit (6). As a result, output of the electric motor (1) is suppressed to within a range in which the braking-force fluctuation does not exceed the permitted value, thereby enabling electric power consumption to be reduced.
