Abstract:
This invention provides an electric brake device that makes it possible to improve responsiveness and minimize increases in power consumption. Said electric brake device is provided with a brake disc, brake pads, an electric motor (2), a linear-motion mechanism that converts rotational motion from the electric motor (2) to linear motion and conveys said linear motion to the brake pads, a control device (9) that controls the electric motor (2), and a brake command means (40) that supplies a brake-force command value to the control device (9). The control device (9) is provided with an emergency-brake detection means (41) that detects an emergency-brake request, a steady-state control unit (46) that performs steady-state braking, and a weak-magnetic-flux control unit (42) that performs weak-magnetic-flux control if the emergency-brake detection means (41) detects an emergency-brake request.
