Abstract:
Provided is an electric brake device for which a control system can be easily designed without causing braking feeling to worsen. This electric brake device (DB) is provided with a brake rotor, a friction member, a friction member operating means, an electric motor (4), a braking force estimation means (28), and a control device (2). The control device (2) has a control system wherein the motor rotation angle of the electric motor (4) is included among state quantities for control calculations for following control. The control device (2) also has a state quantity reset function unit (25) that resets at least the motor rotation angle to a prescribed value on the basis of a prescribed condition that uses at least one of target braking force, braking force estimated value, change in target braking force, change in braking force estimated value, and the deviation between target braking force and braking force estimated value.
