Abstract:
The present invention provides an electric brake device that enables a desired brake hydraulic pressure to be generated accurately. By controlling an electric motor 37 of an electric actuator on the basis of an operation (input member position) of a brake pedal, an ECU causes a power piston to move and brake hydraulic pressure to be generated in a master cylinder. A characteristic correction process part of the ECU corrects, on the basis of an operation amount of the brake pedal, and stores characteristic data which show the relationship between a hydraulic pressure value conveyed via a vehicle data bus from the ECU and a movement amount of the power piston controlled on the basis of the input member position. When an automatic brake command is input, the ECU controls the electric actuator on the basis of the corrected characteristic data.
