Abstract:
In an electric brake mechanism, a piston 6D that is thrusted by a rotation/linear-motion mechanism 8 driven by an electric motor 7A presses a brake pad 6C against a disc rotor 4, and the brake pad 6C is held at the pressed position when the electric motor 7A is stopped. When a retention request (apply command) for the brake pad 6C is issued, a parking brake control device 24 decides a determination time at which it is determined whether to stop the electric motor 7A, on the basis of a change tendency of the current value of the electric motor 7A. When the determination time arrives, the parking brake control device 24 determines whether to stop the electric motor 7A.
