Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an electric brake device which, without depending on a mechanical structure and requiring a measurement in advance, can calculate a conversion ratio of a thrust force with respect to a current in response to even a temporal change. The present invention is provided with: an electric motor 8; a piston 6 which moves due to the rotation of the electric motor 8; brake pads 5a, 5b which press a disk rotor 2 with a thrust force generated by the movement of the piston 6; and a motor control device 11 which controls the rotation of the electric motor 8. The motor control device 11 comprises an efficiency estimation unit 35 which, on the basis of a relationship between an increase in the current value of the electric motor 8 with respect to an increase in the position of the piston 6 and the current value of the electric motor 8, estimates the relationship between the current supplied to the electric motor 8 and the thrust force.
