Abstract:
The present invention is an electric braking device comprising: a linear motion mechanism (3) for pressing a friction pad (9) on a brake disc (6) by converting rotation transmitted from an electric motor (1) to linear motion; a linear motion mechanism housing (4) for housing constituent parts of the linear motion mechanism (3) together so that the linear motion mechanism (3) is an integrated assembly; and a caliper body (7) with a shape that straddles the circumference of the brake disc (6). The caliper body (7) is obtained from a hook section (7A) for supporting a friction pad (8) in the axial direction, a housing-fixing plate (7B) disposed on the end opposite to the brake disc (6) end when viewed with respect to the linear motion mechanism housing (4), and an outer shell section (7C) connecting the hook section (7A) to the housing-fixing plate (7B).
