Abstract:
This electric circuit breaker comprises: an ignitor provided in a housing; a projectile that is disposed in an accommodation space formed inside the housing and extending in one direction, the projectile being fired along the accommodation space by energy received from the ignitor; a conductor piece that is provided to the housing and forms part of an electric circuit, the conductor piece having in a portion thereof an excised section that is excised by the projectile moving due to the energy received from the ignitor, the excised section being disposed so as to cross the accommodation space; and a coolant member that is positioned on the side of the accommodation space more toward the projectile than the excised section prior to activation of the ignitor.
