Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an electric component socket which has a simple construction, with which it is possible to prevent contact pins coming into contact with another device, and with which stability of contact between the contact pins and electric component terminals can be achieved. [Solution] The electric component socket in the present invention accommodates an electric component in which a plurality of leads are disposed at equal intervals in a main body portion. The electric component socket includes a socket main body which is disposed on a wiring board and which is provided with an accommodating portion which accommodates the electric component. The socket main body includes an arrangement portion in which a row of contact pins which contact the leads of an IC package are arranged. At least one of the contact pins has an arrangement pitch with respect to one other adjacent contact pin that is less than the pitch between the terminals of the electric component, and the other contact pins each have an arrangement pitch with respect to one other adjacent contact pin that is substantially the same as the pitch between the terminals of the electric component.
