Abstract:
A second side block (3a) of a compression mechanism (3) is disposed to the outside of a compressor housing (13) housing a cylinder block (3c) and a first side block (3b) of the compression mechanism (3). The second side block (3a) seals an opening (13b) in the compressor housing (13) and an opening (11e) in a motor housing (11a). A pair of surfaces (3a1, 3a2) facing the second side block (3a) come into contact with a motor case (11), in which a stator (5c) of an electric motor (5) is fixed to the motor housing (11a), and the compressor housing (13), respectively. The second side block (3a) and the motor case (11) are connected and affixed to each other, and the second side block (3a) and the compressor housing (13) are connected and affixed to each other.
