Abstract:
An electric compressor according to the present invention comprises: a casing for accommodating a main frame and a rotary shaft; a driving unit for rotating the rotary shaft; and a compression unit having a first scroll fixed to the casing and a second scroll connected to the rotary shaft and having one side pivotably engaged with the first scroll, wherein the main frame includes: a bearing part configured to form a back pressure space for accommodating a fluid that pressurizes the second scroll from the other side and surround the rotary shaft; a shaft seal inserted between the bearing part and the rotary shaft so as to seal the back pressure space; and fixing members supported on the shaft seal and the bearing part, respectively, so as to fix the shaft seal to the bearing part. Due to these features, it is possible to easily manage the friction surface of the shaft seal and improve the efficiency.
