Abstract:
Provided is an electric compressor comprising: a housing that has a compressor chamber and a motor chamber partitioned by a partition wall; an impeller that is accommodated in the compressor chamber; a shaft that is provided with the impeller and extends through the partition wall and across the compressor chamber and the motor chamber; a motor unit that is accommodated in the motor chamber and rotates the shaft; a bearing that is interposed between the shaft and the partition wall; and a communication hole that traverses the partition wall at a position facing the rear surface of the impeller and communicates the compressor chamber with the motor chamber. A labyrinth seal unit is formed between the rear of the impeller and the partition wall and seals the communication hole and the bearing.
