Abstract:
The present invention provides an electric compressor comprising: a rotating shaft which drives a compression mechanism; a rotor in which a rotating shaft through-hole for insertion of the rotating shaft is formed; a cover which covers the longitudinal end of the rotor; and a stator which is provided radially outside the rotor, wherein: the rotor has a plurality of slots which are formed to be spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction and into which permanent magnets are inserted, respectively; each of the slots has cooling holes formed at both ends thereof, the slot and the cooling holes being spatially separated from each other; and a coolant flows through the cooling holes to cool the permanent magnets. Accordingly, the cooling performance of the permanent magnets of the rotor can be improved.
