Abstract:
This electric conduction heating device conducts electricity to a metal body and heats the metal body to a target temperature. The electric conduction heating device comprises a power supply unit for supplying electric power to the metal body, and a control unit for controlling the power supply unit. The control unit: controls the power supply unit such that, during a period from when the supply of electric power to the metal body is started to a switching timing set to before the temperature of the metal body reaches the target temperature, a current command value in the metal body reaches a prescribed current value set in advance; and controls the power supply unit such that, after the switching timing, the current command value is reduced from the prescribed current value.
