Abstract:
An electric contact material for a relay to be aboard an automobile, characterized in that an Ag-SnO¿2?-InO¿3? alloy obtained by the internal oxidation of an Ag-Sn-In alloy comprising, in terms of metal, 5.0 to 10.0 wt % of Sn and 2.0 to 5.0 wt % of In, the balance being Ag, is used in a closed space; and an electric contact material for a relay to be aboard an automobile, characterized in that an Ag-SnO¿2?-InO¿2?-NiO alloy obtained by the internal oxidation of an Ag-Sn-In-Ni alloy comprising, in terms of metal, 5.0 to 10.0 wt % of Sn, 2.0 to 5.0 wt % of In and 0.01 to 0.50 wt % of Ni, the balance being Ag, is used in a closed space. These electric contact materials exhibit extremely excellent durability when used for an inductive load of a magnetic clutch in an air conditioner for an automobile.
