Title:
ELECTRIC CURRENT SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/172946
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention removes the offset component of a bias magnetic field generated due to attachment error during die bonding, from an induced magnetic field that acts on a free magnetic layer, and inhibits reduction in the linearity of sensor output. This electric sensor (1) is provided with: a pair of magneto-resistance effect elements (21a, 21b) that has a free magnetic layer in which the direction of magnetization varies with respect to an external magnetic field, and that forms a half-bridge circuit on the same sensor chip (2); and a hard bias layer (22) for applying a bias magnetic field to the free magnetic layer, wherein the hard bias layer (22) imparts a bias magnetic field so as to be mutually opposite in direction with respect to the free magnetic layers of the pair of magneto-resistance effect elements (21a, 21b).
