Abstract:
This electric cylinder system comprises: a rod; a ball screw mechanism that has a ball screw rotating by a driving force of an electric motor; a nut that is connected to the rod and moves linearly with the rod in the axial direction of the ball screw due to the rotational movement of the ball screw; a cylindrical body that has a contact part abutted by the linearly moving nut and supports the ball screw mechanism such that the ball screw mechanism can be displaced in the axial direction of the ball screw; a strain detector that is fixed to the cylindrical body and detects a value according to the displacement of the ball screw mechanism; and a control unit that abuts the nut against the contact part to displace the ball screw mechanism, and detects an abnormality in the strain detector on the basis of the value detected by the strain detector according to the displacement of the ball screw mechanism.
