Abstract:
Provided is an electric deionization device in which a concentration chamber 15 and a desalination chamber 16 are partitioned by means of ion-exchange membranes 13 and 14 between an anode 11 and a cathode 12, concentrated water is circulated into the concentration chamber, raw water is circulated into the desalination chamber 16 as water to be treated, the raw water is taken out as production water, and part of the production water is circulated into the concentration chamber 15 as concentrated water in a counter-flow direction relative to a flow direction of the desalination chamber 16, wherein NaCl is added to the raw water or NaCl-containing water is made to pass through the concentration chamber 15 when the specific resistance value of the deionized water is reduced.
