Abstract:
The disclosed electric device for the production of deionized water is provided with a demineralization treatment unit comprising: a demineralization chamber (D); and a pair of concentration chambers (C1 and C2) provided on both sides of the demineralization chamber (D) and filled with anion exchangers. The demineralization chamber (D) is partitioned by an ion-exchange membrane into a first small demineralization chamber (D-1), adjacent to one concentration chamber (C1), and a second small demineralization chamber (D-2), adjacent to the other concentration chamber (C2). The first small demineralization chamber (D-1) is filled with an anion exchanger, and the second small demineralization chamber (D-2) is filled with an anion exchanger and a cation exchanger ordered such that the anion exchanger is the last ion exchanger that water being treated passes through.
