Abstract:
The present invention provides an electric discharge machining device capable of reducing kerf loss and achieving high-precision and high-efficiency slicing. A tool electrode part is provided with a thin plate-shaped electrode extended in at least one direction. A tension application mechanism applies tension to the thin plate-shaped electrode along the one direction. A drive mechanism moves one of the thin plate shaped-electrode and a workpiece relatively to the other along the one direction. A power feeding unit applies discharge voltage between the workpiece and the thin plate-shaped electrode.
