Abstract:
Disclosed is a light emitting device comprised of a glass bulb (2), and a reflective film (13) formed on the outer peripheral surface of the glass bulb (2) at an angular range of at least 230°, so that the reflective film (13) having a sufficient thickness can be obtained in a large area of the outer peripheral surface of an electric discharge tube (22), and an uniform light intensity distribution is obtained.
