Abstract:
An electric drive device 1 comprises: a power conversion unit 20 provided with an inverter 23 having an upper arm 23a and a lower arm 23b that control the operation of an electric motor 2; and a drive control unit 30 that controls the power conversion unit 20 and that is provided with a dead time Td for preventing short circuiting of the upper arm 23a and the lower arm 23b. The drive control unit 30 controls the power conversion unit 20 by switching between a first mode in which the power conversion unit 20 is controlled using a first correction value Tdh1, which is a time during which voltage drops caused by the dead time Td are corrected, and a second mode in which the power conversion unit 20 is controlled using a second correction value Tdh2 which is smaller than the first correction value Tdh1.
