Abstract:
Disclosed is an electric drive unit comprising: an inverter; a stator that receives AC current from the inverter and forms a magnetic field; a rotor that rotates as a result of the magnetic field formed by the stator; a shaft that protrudes out one side and the other side of a rotor axis direction and moves in conjunction with the rotor; an inverter case that houses the inverter in an electrically insulated state; and a motor case. The motor case houses the stator and the rotor in an electrically insulated state and also rotatably supports one end of the shaft via a first bearing and rotatably supports the other end of the shaft via a second bearing. The inverter and the inverter case are arranged further inside than the two bearings.
