Abstract:
The present invention performs electric field communication using a metal as a communication medium. Provided is an electric field communication system for performing communication using an electric field, the electric field communication system comprising: a communication medium composed of a material capable of transmitting an electric field; a first transmitter for generating an electric field corresponding to the potential difference between a first electrode disposed on a communication medium side and connected to the communication medium via a coupling capacitance, and a second electrode connected to earth ground via a coupling capacitance, the first transmitter having a signal side to which the first electrode is connected and a ground side to which the second electrode is connected; and a first receiver disposed in contact with the communication medium. The first transmitter and the first receiver perform communication using the electric field via the communication medium.
