Title:
ELECTRIC INSULATION TYPE HEAT PIPE COOLER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1990/008935
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In a tubular body wherein an evaporation portion and a condensation portion are connected through an electrical insulator, the evaporation portion is a hole of a tube body disposed in a thermally conductive block or a tube body fitted into the hole and the condensation portion is a tube body equipped with fins. The present invention provides an electric insulation type heat pipe cooler which uses, as work fluid, carbon fluoride work fluid containing at least 95 % of a carbon fluoride compound having a boiling point corresponding to the operation temperature and up to 1 % of a carbon fluoride compound having a boiling point lower than the former. Since the cooler does not use fluorocarbon as the work fluid, it does not exert any adverse influences on the environment and exhibits high and stable performance at nearby 100°C for a long period.
