Abstract:
Provided is an electric linear actuator with low power consumption. Said electric linear actuator has an electric motor (10), a motion conversion mechanism (11) that converts rotational torque from said electric motor (10) to linear force on an outer-ring member (24), a load sensor (12), and a motor control device (51). Said motor control device (51) controls a drive current flowing to the electric motor (10) so as to increase the rotational torque produced by the electric motor (10) until the magnitude of a pressing force detected by the load sensor (12) exceeds a target value and then decrease the rotational torque produced by the electric motor (10) until the magnitude of the pressing force detected by the load sensor (12) reaches the target value.
