Abstract:
This electric linear actuator comprises: a drive unit (30) that has an electric motor (31) is the drive source; a gear reduction mechanism (40) that reduces the rotation of the rotor shaft (34a) of the electric motor (31) of the drive unit (30), and outputs the result; and a linear mechanism (70) that converts the rotary motion of the rotor shaft (72) rotating as a result of the output from the gear reduction mechanism (40) to linear motion of an outer wheel member (73) supported slidably along the inner diameter surface of a housing (71), thus linearly driving a driven member by means of the outer wheel member (73). The gear reduction mechanism (40) is housed and subunitized within a gear case (48) that can connect to the housing (71), and the drive unit (30) and linear mechanism (70) are separate bodies, and so each unit can be assembled in separate steps, thus simplifying assembly and maintenance.
