Abstract:
The invention relates to an electric machine (10), comprising a stator (20) with a stator core (22) and a rotor (30) with a rotor core (32), wherein the stator core and/or rotor core (22, 32) comprises a plurality of magnetic pockets (34) in each of which at least one permanent magnet (36) is arranged and is connected to the stator core and/or rotor core (22, 32) via a connecting material (38). According to the invention, the connecting material (38) is a foamed polymer. The electric machine (10) can be produced by a method wherein: a1) a permanent magnet (36) is coated at least in certain areas with a foamable polymer material (38'); b1) the permanent magnet (36) coated with the polymer material (38') is introduced into a magnetic pocket (34) of the stator core and/or rotor core (22, 32); c) a gaseous propellant under pressure is applied to the polymer material (38') over a predetermined time, and therefore the propellant dissolves in the polymer material (38'), wherein this step c) is carried out before or after step a1) or after step b1); and d) a phase separation of the propellant and the polymer material is triggered by reducing the pressure and increasing the temperature, and therefore a foamed polymer (38) forms.
