Title:
ELECTRIC MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/074434
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to power engineering and can be used in the production of electric machines, for example electric motors or electric current generators. The electric machine, for example an electric motor or an electric current generator, comprises a stator (1) and a rotor (2) which are mounted coaxially in such a way that the stator (1) and the rotor (2) are able to rotate in opposite directions, and electromagnets (3) which are provided with electric windings (4). The stator (1) and the rotor (2) are mounted on two coaxial shafts (5, 6) and are in the form of thin-walled, hollow, conjoined cylinders closed at one end by bases (7, 8). The cylinder of the rotor (2) is arranged concentrically and equidistantly outside the cylinder of the stator (1). The electromagnets (3) are arranged on the cylindrical generatrices of the stator (1) and the rotor (2) with opposite poles facing one another. A voltage is fed via a collector ring (9) to the windings of the electromagnets (3), which generate electromagnetic fields with opposite poles. The electromagnetic forces attract the electromagnets of the stator and the rotor with opposite poles. The electric motor spins and the stator and the rotor turn in different directions. When a nominal speed and torque is reached, the running of the motor stabilizes more rapidly and evenly since the magnetic fields of the electromagnets of the stator and the rotor intersect more frequently as a result of the counter-rotation.
