Abstract:
The electric machine comprises a rotor (100), a stator (200) surrounding the rotor (100) and a support structure (500). The stator (200) has a longitudinal centre axis (X-X)and is supported on the support structure (500) with support elements (400A, 400B). The stator (200) comprises a cylindrical stator core (210) having a laminated structure and slots (213) for a stator winding (211) and a stator frame (220) surrounding the stator core (210). The stator frame (220) comprises two opposite end constructions (221, 222) and at least one frame plate (223, 223A, 223B, 223C, 223D) located between the end constructions (221, 222). A support element (400A, 400B) is located between each end construction (221, 222) and the adjacent frame plate (223, 223A, 223B, 223C, 223D) and between adjacent frame plates (223, 223A, 223B, 223C, 223D). The support element (440A, 400B) is made of cast iron and attached to the end constructions (221, 222), the frame plate (223, 223A, 223B, 223C, 223D) and the support structure (500) with fastening means (350, 410, 420) based on a compression joint, whereby the stator frame (220) becomes attached to the support structure (500) via the support elements (400A, 400B).
