Abstract:
An electric motor 100 is provided with a ring-shaped stator 40, and a consequent pole rotor 20 having a ring-shaped rotor core disposed inside the stator 40 and a plurality of permanent magnets disposed inside the rotor core and arranged in the circumferential direction of the rotor core, wherein the stator 40 is covered with an unsaturated polyester resin. This makes it possible that the electric motor 100 is reduced in cost, vibration, and noise, so that it is possible to reduce the use amount of permanent magnets 11 and the processing cost thereof as compared with when all magnetic poles are formed by the permanent magnets 11.
