Abstract:
This electric motor is provided with a stator unit in which a plurality of stators are connected in an annular shape. The stators each have: a core having an arc-shaped core back portion and a tooth portion and forming a slot portion between adjacent stators, said tooth portion projecting from the core back portion; insulating members disposed at both ends of the core in the axial direction; an insulating film disposed touching the inner wall of the slot portion of the core; and a winding disposed in the slot portion and wound around the core through the insulating member and the insulating film. The insulating film is configured such that the axial direction length of at least a part of a portion touching the inner wall of the slot portion is longer than the axial direction length of the core, said part touching the outer periphery surface of a tooth end portion of the tooth portion. The insulating member has a position fixing portion that is engaged with the core to fix the position of the insulating member.
