Abstract:
An electric motor control apparatus (15) controls an electric motor system that includes a power converter (13) including switching elements (Qup) and a three-phase alternating-current motor (14). The electric motor control apparatus (15) includes generating devices (156u, 156v, 156w) for generating modulation signals (Vmu, Vmv, Vmw) by respectively adding corresponding triple harmonic signals (Vh1, Vh2) to phase voltage command signals (Vu, Vv, Vw) and a control device (157) for controlling switching elements on the basis of a magnitude relation between each of the modulation signals and a carrier signal (C). Each of the triple harmonic signals includes a signal component (Vh2) that increases the absolute value of a peak value of a signal level of the corresponding modulation signal above the absolute value of a peak value of a signal level of the carrier signal in a corresponding one of phases.
