Abstract:
The control device of an electric motor has: a function for generating, based on an electric motor constant and a torque command value corresponding to a predetermined temperature, a current command value to the electric motor and executing a current control mode for controlling a voltage applied to the electric motor so that the voltage follows the current command value; and another function for calculating a torque estimated value of the electric motor using the electric motor constant corresponding to the predetermined temperature and executing, based on the deviation between the calculated torque estimated value and the torque command value, a voltage phase control mode for feeding back a voltage phase. The control device of the electric motor also determines the switching of the control modes according to the magnitude relation between the current command value in the current control mode and a detected current and switches the control modes. A voltage amplitude command value during the voltage phase control mode is larger than a voltage amplitude during the current control mode in a region in which the voltage phase control mode is applied and is less than or equal to the voltage amplitude during the current control mode in a region in which the current control mode is applied.
