Abstract:
Provided are an electric motor that promotes further downsizing and an improvement in performance, and a dental device provided with said electric motor. This brushless slotless electric motor 10 is provided with: a stator 3 that has a stator core 301 and a plurality of coils 31-33 disposed further to the inside than the stator core 301; a rotor 2 that has a shaft 21 and is rotated relative to the stator 3 around the shaft 21; and a medium path 40 through which a medium, which is supplied in order to realize the function of a handpiece 9A for dentistry to which the electric motor 10 is applied, is passed. The coils 31-33 do not overlap with each other, but adjoin each other in the rotational direction of the rotor 2. The medium path 40 is disposed between each of the adjoining coils 31-33.
