Abstract:
Provided are an electric motor device and an electric brake device that realize a reduction in cost and that enable a motor angle to be stably and accurately estimated. A stator (4a) of an electric motor (4) has first and second excitation mechanisms (71, 72) that can supply power independently of each other. A control device (2), which controls the electric motor (4), has an angle estimating means (22) that estimates a motor angle, which represents relative positions of the stator (4a) and a rotor (4b). The angle estimating means (22) includes: a frequency component generating unit (22b) that generates frequency components of phase angles having opposite signs from each other, such frequency components being superimposed on one or both of voltages and currents of the first and second excitation mechanisms (71, 72); and an angle estimating unit (22a) that estimates a motor angle that represents the relative positions of the stator (4a) and the rotor (4b) from the voltages and the currents to which the frequency components of phase angles having opposite signs generated by the frequency component generating unit (22b) are superimposed.
